LED Lighting Fixture

Light Emitting Diode (LED) is a semiconductor light source.

LED is a semiconductor light source that is used as indicator lamps in many devices and is increasingly used for other lighting.

It is the most energy efficient lights on the market. They are also small, durable and are becoming less and less expensive. A Doide is an electrical device with two terminals which conduct the electrical current in only one direction while blocking current in the other direction. With an electrical current a bright light is produced. A LED is made up of semiconductors, which are materials that have a varying ability to conduct electricity. Inside of an LED, there are two types of semiconductors: one that has an abundance of electrons (N-Type) and one that has room for more electrons (P-Type). The P-Type semiconductor can be thought of as having many holes for electrons (negatively charged particles) to fall into. The electrons within the diode release photons, which is visible as light. LEDS are very effective using at least 75% less energy than traditional incandescent bulbs and last 25 times longer.
